Distance learning is a new trend but we have tested it extensively and it works. Skype is free software that allows video calling with the option to exchange text and documents. It’s a simple form of video conferencing for two participants, ideal for English lessons.
You will need a webcam (many computers have one built in nowadays), a broadband web connection and the software, downloadable for free from www.skype.com.
